Knowing your skin type
In determining your skin type, the following procedures are essential.
- Wash your face with water, or a gentle cleanser to remove all makeup, oil
- Pat face dry with a soft towel and leave skin bare. Don’t apply any moisturizers or serums, so that your skin will act naturally.
- Wait for 1 hour. During this time, don’t touch your face. Resist every temptation to do that, and after an hour, look closely and note the quality of your skin, whether it’s a dry, oily, combination, normal or sensitive skin as described in the table below:

Moisturizing Cream for those with a Dry Skin Type
Quality moisturizers can help soothe and repair dry, itchy, and irritated skin. But with so many moisturizers in the market, finding the one that works best for you lies on the matter of personal preference. Just ensure that you choose the one with lots of vitamins so as to revitalise your skin.
Cream that contains Honey and other natural product
For those with oily and sensitive skin type, Honey is very mild and soothes the skin as well as clean it, leaving the skin clean and dry via balancing the oil.
Cream that suits a combination skin type
A cream with a mattifying moisturizer will work well for the t-zone of the face of a combination skin
Cream that suits a normal skin type
The best possible way to care for these skin type is to use a cream that acts as an effective cleanser, toner and loaded with skin-replenishing ingredients, such as the common non-irritating hydrating AHA which acts an antioxidant and a moisturizer to the skin
There are no good or bad skin types, just different ways that our skin behaves. And, since we now have products that are formulated to treat the skin we have, then it’s so important to find the right one for you!
