However, The rule is simple because you could take your readings using either the “cm” side of your tape rule or the “inches” side of your tape rule…
- Measure your bust
These you do by putting the tape rule round the fullest part of your bust and take the readings.
- Measure your waist
You get these accurately by locating your navel and placing your tape rule a little above it, and then measure round, and take the reading.
- Measure your Hips
These involves placing your tape rule around the fullest part of your hips which encompasses your buttocks too, and then take the reading.
- Measure your Chest
These information applies to men, and its done by placing the tape rule around the fullest part of the chest and then creating some space around the tape rule to get an accurate reading.
- Measure your Sleeve
These is a vital information also needed by men and its done by placing the tape rule at the shoulder and stretching it through to the wrist for a accurate reading.

- Know the standard sizes that match your body measurement.
In order to make fitting very easy, the use of standard sizes was introduced by manufacturers, so that each size can range within the different body measurement one could possibly have.
